The Foundation for Medieval Genealogy welcomes suggestions for publishing projects. Through our Occasional Publications series we can publish books, monographs, pamphlets, etc. provided they fall within the FMG remit. In general we target specialist, short-run works that would be of limited interest to mainstream publishers. For details of our previous publications, see the drop down menu under "Publications."

Contributions for our journal Foundations can be in the form of full articles, short papers, literature reviews or approaches and techniques covering any aspect of medieval (pre-1500) genealogy and prosopography. We can also accept book reviews. Submissions are accepted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not pending such publication. We may occasionally consider articles that have been published informally on websites or in other media, but this is at the discretion of the editor. All contributions will be submitted for expert scrutiny before acceptance, and FMG reserves the right to make editorial and stylistic changes to the text.  Foundations is published in both electronic and printed formats. FMG News is an informal newsletter, distributed by email two to three times a year to our members and online users. It will be most effective as a communication tool if lots of people contribute ideas, theories, comments and queries in the general area of medieval genealogy. Specific comments on articles published in Foundations are also welcomed. Members and registered users will find more details under the "User's Area" menu.

Finally the flexibility of web publishing enables us to provide online information derived from individual projects carried out by our members. For examples of what is possible, look under the "Projects" menu. Any proposals for new projects should be sent to the This email address is being protected from spambots.
