The Foundation for Medieval Genealogy welcomes suggestions for publishing projects. Through our Occasional Publications series we can publish books, monographs, pamphlets, etc. provided they fall within the FMG remit. In general we target specialist, short-run works that would be of limited interest to mainstream publishers. If you have a proposal, please contact the editor.

For details of our previous publications, visit our online shop.

Contributions for our journal Foundations can be in the form of short original papers, full articles, literature reviews or approaches and techniques covering any aspect of medieval (pre-1500) genealogy and prosopography. Submissions are accepted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not pending such publication. We may occasionally consider articles that have been published informally on websites or in other media, but this is at the discretion of the editor. All contributions will be submitted for expert scrutiny before acceptance, and FMG reserves the right to make editorial and stylistic changes to the text.

Foundations is published in both electronic and printed formats. Click here for further guidance for authors.

FMG News is an informal newsletter, distributed by email two to three times a year to our members and online users. It will be most effective as a communication tool if lots of people contribute ideas, theories, comments and queries in the general area of medieval genealogy. Specific comments on articles published in Foundations are also welcomed. Click here for further information
